About HashKey Exchange

HashKey Exchange is a new centralized exchange (CEX) launched by HashKey Global, a leading Web3 enterprise group as illustrated in the image below.

HashKey Capital, in particular, is a highly renowned cryptocurrency VC.

Personally, I expect a big airdrop since the exchange was launched by a very well-known VC. Airdrop is confirmed as the trade campaign for HSK tokens is currently underway.

Reasons for the high expectations of HashKey Exchange include (Including hypotheticals, for reference only):

  • Since 2015, HashKey Capital has invested in over 140 virtual currency projects (VC who knows cryptocurrency industry well started the exchange)
  • First BTC Spot ETF and ETH Spot ETF in Hong Kong
  • HSK Genesis Trading Campaign (Airdrop Campaign) and Layer 2 launch already announced
  • Raised $100 million in January 2024 at a valuation of $1.2 billion (see details here)
  • Launchpad may be implemented on the exchange (if implemented, an exchange token will be required, like the Binance launchpad, and the value of the HSK token is expected to increase)
  • HSK is scheduled to list in the second half of 2024 (a favorable time for altcoin performance as it follows the halving event)
  • Exchange tokens like BNB, OKB, BGB, and GT tend to have high FDV (see details here)
  • KYC is required, preventing multi-accounting
  • Early participation is possible since it’s just launched
  • Lots of HSK utilities (designed to incentivize contributors to HashKey ecosystem, details here)

The registration process is the same as for other CEX.

2. KYC

You will need your passport for KYC; KYC takes time, so I recommend doing it as soon as possible. In my case, KYC took about 24 hours to complete.

Address verification requires an internet or gas statement with your address on it. I submitted a credit card statement with my address on it and it was approved.

3. Trade daily (HSK trade mining is FCFS and start timings vary by country

For every $1,000 in trading volume, you earn 0.9 HSK. Please note that stablecoin-to-stablecoin trades are not eligible for HSK rewards. Click here for details on the trade mining campaign.

Here’s a simulation: If you generate a daily trading volume of approximately $330,000, you’ll earn the maximum reward of 300 HSK. I’ve deposited around $10,000 and trade the BTC/USDT pair dozens of times each day.

  • $1,000: 0.9 HSK
  • $10,000: 9 HSK
  • $100,000: 90 HSK
  • $300,000: 270 HSK
  • $500,000: 450 HSK
